Groupe E electricity prices in Home Assistant

If you are a Groupe E customer, see your VARIO and static tariffs live in Home Assistant and use them to decide when your home runs its big appliances.

What it does

  • Shows the current VARIO (dynamic) price in rappen per kilowatt-hour.
  • Shows whether the static tariff is in its off-peak hours right now.
  • Marks the cheapest four hours of VARIO on a calendar.
  • Updates every minute. New prices are fetched once a day, at 18:00.
  • Works in automations, so the dishwasher, the boiler or the car can wait for cheap hours.
  • Draws the day’s prices as a chart, with the ApexCharts card for Home Assistant.

What it looks like

Good to know

  • You can add the integration twice: once for VARIO and once for the static tariff.
  • It uses version 2 of the Groupe E API.
  • This tool is not made by Groupe E. It is free to use, without any warranty.
